About Sunyee International
Founded in 2010, Sunyee International is a Melbourne-based e-commerce retailer specialising in 4x4 accessories, camping gear, outdoor living products, and more. Their range includes lighting, power stations, solar panels, and lithium batteries, ensuring customers are powered up on any adventure.
Beyond outdoor gear, Sunyee also offers an extensive selection of home essentials, garden tools, and products for kids and pets, all at affordable prices.
Project goals & challenges
Sunyee’s existing Shopify store was functional but limited in its ability to present a growing and diverse product range. With ambitions to create a mega-store experience, the brand needed a design and structure that could showcase more categories without compromising usability.
The previous theme lacked the flexibility of Shopify OS 2.0, making it harder for the team to update content and maintain a consistent, professional look across the site. Navigation and page layouts were restrictive, limiting how products could be displayed.
In addition to these design and structural constraints, Sunyee wanted a faster, more optimised store to improve the customer experience and keep shoppers engaged. The challenge was to deliver a visually appealing, high-performance store that also gave the Sunyee team more control over their content
