Introduction
For over a decade, Ocam 4x4 Accessories has been helping Australians enjoy the outdoors with affordable, high-quality 4x4 and camping gear. As part of the Ocam Group, they’ve built a reputation for reliability and value, offering everything from roof racks to recovery gear, all backed by a satisfaction guarantee.
But while their product range grew, their online presence lagged behind. The original Neto website was outdated, hard to use on mobile, and didn’t reflect the professionalism of the brand. For a company trusted by so many outdoor enthusiasts, the site simply wasn’t doing the products or the customer experience justice.
That’s when Ocam turned to Rainstorm. They wanted a partner who could guide them through a redesign, address their technical frustrations, and deliver a site that customers would find easy to browse and buy from.
What I felt when we found Rainstorm was that we actually had someone we could build a partnership with. Rainstorm’s team were really prompt, met their commitments, and priced fairly. I felt comfortable that we spoke the same language about helping customers.

Before & After: Redesigning Ocam’s Online Store
From limited usability and outdated design to a modern, responsive store that enhances trust and improves the overall shopping experience

The Challenges
Outdated website design
The previous site looked dated and wasn’t mobile-friendly. In an industry where customers often research and shop on the go, the design no longer matched customer expectations or Ocam’s brand credibility.
Limited functionality
Ocam needed features to match their operations from showing stock availability across multiple warehouses to well-structured product pages. The old site made this difficult to manage, which created friction for both staff and customers.
Professional credibility
Ocam’s website and didn’t reflect the quality of their products or the trustworthiness of the brand. With competitors investing in sleek, modern storefronts, the outdated setup risked holding the business back.
Solution
A guided redesign for a stronger online presence
Rainstorm delivered a Neto website redesign that refreshed Ocam’s brand presence and made the site easier to use across devices. The new design focused on creating a professional look and smooth experience to better reflect the quality of their products.
Technical enhancements for usability
We enhanced the warehouse stock status function, making it more visible and accessible to customers. Product pages were restructured to present information clearly and encourage confident buying decisions.
Partnership-driven approach
Ocam valued clear communication and responsiveness. With a dedicated point of contact, they had confidence that their concerns would be addressed promptly and that the project was moving in the right direction.
We’ve always had people compliment us about how easy our site is to use. A lot of that comes down to the structure, navigation, and the part finder we built together. Customers can quickly find what they need.

Results
The result was a professional, user-friendly website that truly reflected Ocam’s brand. Customers found the site easier to navigate, product pages were clearer, and enhanced stock visibility reduced friction during the buying process.
The combination of modern design, stronger usability, and consistent branding has positioned Ocam to keep growing as they continue making 4x4 and camping gear accessible to more Australians.
